Nicolò Spanu

Italy

My name is Nicolò Spanu, and I have been passionate about the ocean since childhood. I started surfing waves at the age of four and soon after discovered windsurfing, which became my main focus.

At nine years old, I began competing, first in the Techno 293 class, later moving into Wave and Slalom disciplines. Over the years, I achieved several national and international results, including becoming U15 Slalom World Champion U.17 european champion and earning podium finishes in PWA Youth Wave and Slalom events.

After the Covid period, I spent a season competing in iQFoil, before transitioning to Wing Foil, where I quickly reached the Top 10 in the world rankings. In 2023, I became Wing Foil Race Vice World Champion, and I currently remain among the world’s top riders.I am a federally certified instructor with several years of experience teaching Wing Foil and Wing Surf. My professional path combines a lifelong passion for the ocean with a strong dedication to outdoor sports and education.

Alongside my athletic career, I am currently studying Economics and Tourism Management at the University of Oristano, where I am deepening my understanding of the tourism and sports industry.

I am passionate about sharing my experience with others, promoting a sustainable and engaging approach to water sports and outdoor activities.
