Leo Verrecchia

Australia

I am a Kiteboarder from the east coast of Australia. I grew up in Redcliffe, a coastal peninsula near Brisbane. Both my Dad and Grandad use to windsurf when they were younger. My dad naturally progressed into kiting and he taught me just a year after learning himself. In the early years I did kiting as a fun father/son activity and also played soccer. Later on I started to get into the freestyle discipline and found success with good competition results and I had opportunity to take it to the next level.

After highschool, I went overseas with my friend to Brazil (my first plane trip overseas) to go on an unforgettable kiteboarding trip to progress my riding and see more of the kiteboarding culture. Ever since that trip my passion for freestyle has grown even stronger and now I go on international trips yearly to progress my riding at a professional level, make video parts, and compete in international events!

I am more chill and introverted by nature, but if you ever see me at the beach, feel free to ask me anything and I'll happily have a friendly chat! I'm creative, and like to occasionally draw or paint, and also love to make kiteboarding edits for my YouTube! I also enjoy being out in nature and doing extreme sports and fun outdoor activities!"
