Henri Kolberg

I am Henri and I live in Kiel. I started windsurfing when I was 5 years old. First my focus was on sailing but when I was 14 years I was bored of just sailing in a circle. I managed to go to Maui for 6 months to get better at windsurfing and from there on everything really started. I just love being in and around the ocean. Windsurfing is the sport that makes me most excited but I also love surfing and if there is not a lot of wind and no waves I still really like to sail.

Proud of milestones

Winning the Junior World Cups in Almerimar in 2018 and in Cold Hawaii in 2021. More recently I had my first top 10 result at my home World Cup on Sylt in 2024 and in 2025 I won the legendary Slag om Domburg.

Ultimate goals

I love competing against the best of the world and finishing inside of the top 10 at the end of the year would be pretty sick. But I just love chasing big waves and jumping as high as possible. When those things go right, it’s one of the best feelings in the world.
