1. After securing another third-place finish following King of the Air, how does it feel to start your 2026 season on such a strong note at Lords of Tram?
It feels good. It's just approval that all the work is paying off and something is working well.
2. This time last year, you were recovering from an ankle injury. How would you describe your journey back to full strength?
It was a heavy injury because with the infection you never really know when the bone will heal. At some point some doctors said there's a chance it will not heal at all. So hearing this at the beginning of my kite career was not the best. I tried to stay calm and be fully focused on recovering and it worked well, so I'm super happy.

3. What do you have for breakfast on a comp day?
Mostly oats with some apples, bananas, peanut butter and cinnamon.
4. You posted the highest scores in the semifinals. What was your mindset heading into the final?
I was super stoked. During the whole comp the vibe and the energy was incredible. We were hyping each other up, so going towards the end and doing better than before for sure felt amazing. Also the wind wasn't so crazy, so it was a bit easier to land the tricks.

5. What goals have you set for yourself for the rest of the season?
I'll focus on training in different conditions and pushing new tricks. But first of all, work on my downloops. By the end of the season I really want to land a proper kiteloop late backboard-off with an added rotation.

6. How did you train and prepare specifically for Lords of Tram?
I was mostly training in Cape Town, which aren't exactly the conditions we have here in the south of France with the Tramontana. I tried to drive to Witsand a few times where there's a flat spot.
7. Have you made any changes to your approach or riding style since your injury?
Yes, I'm working with my coach Loic now, which has made a big difference for sure. We've only been working together for three months, so the results should start showing soon.
8. The conditions looked freezing. What Prolimit wetsuit and harness did you choose for the competition, and why?
Yes, people were very cold, but my Prolimit Flare Steamer Free-X 6/4 kept me super warm. I honestly think these are the best wetsuits on the market. They're extremely flexible and warm.
