West Shore, Llandudno, with two long lagoons at low tide and a huge flat spot inside the rock groin at high tide. All looking over to the beautiful Snowdonia Mountains and to Anglesey and Puffin Island! |
| Favorite spot |
With spots like West Shore and the beaches of Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula on my doorstep, I am spoilt for choice in North Wales. If you can cope with the temperature they are incredible spots. But there are so many other amazing spots I've been to around the world... deserted wave spots on a road trip through Morocco when you feel you are the only one to have discovered it, giant lagoons all to yourself in Dakhla, Western Sahara or the incredible little kickers and howling 7m weather of Jericoacoa in Brazil surrounded by the giant sand dune... I could go on and on! For me what makes a top kiting spot is clean wind, lots of space and kiting with friends in a beautiful place. |

I love exploring and adventure. My middle name is Freedom and I live by it! Before I got into kitesurfing I traveled a lot with skiing and then sailing racing when I was at University. I then moved to British Columbia, Canada for more adventures on the snow. While I was there I bought a 1979 rusty brown Chevrolet and drove to Alaska and back. I then started kitesurfing which has taken me on so many adventures to dreamy places... living on the beach in La Ventana, Baja, Mexico, driving to the Western Sahara from the UK with a detour to snowkite in the High Atlas mountains... and of course all the fabulous places the PKRA world tour takes us. |

I ride Flexifoil AH Pro 09 kites and 5m and 3m Neutrons when it is super windy. On the water I am just swapping board manufactures to get the right boards for my riding. On the snow I love phat powder/park skis so have been riding my Head Mad Trix Mojo's for the last few years. |
| Favorite food |
I love healthy living and good food is all part of feeling happy and on top form. I love fresh fruit and veg. When you are away on kite trips you are often in places that has amazing freshly caught fish that is so good for you. |
| Favorite music |
I am totally into music, both playing and listening, as the best escape apart from sports. It totally depends what mood I'm in. I'll listen to anything from Classic FM or jazz to full on punk and scar. Mostly my favourite music comes from AFI, Mad Caddies, System of a Down and UK based kitesurfing rock band Silvermaker. |
| Other hobbies |
I love loads of outdoor and adventure sports and anything to keep fit. So when I am not kiting I am mostly running, swimming, doing core strength training in the gym, mountain biking and skiing. When I have time now I will go horse riding, sailing, and mountaineering, spend time with my mum and dogs and make jewelry and beach art and reading anything and everything that will inspire me. Days are always too short to do everything I enjoy! |
